Join Our Team: Front of House Receptionist Wanted at Hair in the City, Glasgow

We’re growing again – and we’re on the lookout for someone truly special to become the face of our salon. Hair in the City is an award-winning salon in Glasgow’s Merchant City, known for delivering expert hair services in a welcoming, inclusive space.

As our new Front of House / Receptionist, you’ll help keep that experience running smoothly from the moment our clients walk in.

Front of House / Receptionist

Hair In The City is seeking a Front of House / Receptionist to join our award-winning Merchant City salon as we continue to grow.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, friendly service in person and on the phone, welcoming clients from all backgrounds

• Manage appointment bookings and enquiries using our Phorest system

• Maintain salon presentation standards in line with health, safety and hygiene regulations

• Support marketing efforts by maintaining and updating our social media channels (Instagram and Facebook)

  
  

About you

• Experience in customer-facing roles, ideally within hairdressing or hospitality

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a busy team

• Confident computer user, comfortable with social media platforms

• Professional and well-groomed appearance that meets salon health and safety requirements

  
  

Working pattern

• Three days per week initially, increasing to five days per week (including Saturdays) upon successful completion of probation
