At Hair In The City, we created a dedicated private room hair salon in Glasgow so every client can receive professional styling with 100% visual privacy and a comfortable, female-only environment.

Our Visual Privacy Guarantee

We understand that for our hijab-wearing clients, visual privacy is not just a preference—it is a necessity. Our private room setup ensures you can relax and uncover in complete security:

• Fully Enclosed Space: The room features solid walls and a closed door, preventing any line of sight from the main salon floor, waiting areas, or windows.

• Strict Access Control: We place a clear "Privacy in Progress" indicator on the closed door, enforcing a strict rule that no male staff or clients may enter or approach the room.

• Female-Only Styling: Your entire appointment will be handled by one of our professional female stylists (Louise, Shelby, Erin, or Katie). No male staff members are permitted in the room at any point.

• Private Hair Washing: For your hair wash and conditioning, a privacy screen is put up around one of the hair wash basins in the salon, ensuring you remain completely private and visually shielded from view in a respectful, female-only environment.

Booking our private room does not mean compromising on your hair goals. You have access to our complete salon menu, including professional cuts, custom balayages, Keune colour melts, and deep conditioning treatments.

After your hair is styled to perfection, you will have all the time you need to comfortably re-apply your hijab, turban, or wrap in the privacy of the room before exiting.

There is zero surcharge for this service. We believe that dignity, privacy, and inclusivity are fundamental rights, which is why bookings in our private room carry identical pricing to our standard main floor services.
